Description

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and Corporate Compliance
  • Recruits, interviews, and assists in the selection of employees to fill vacant positions
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
  • Coordinates internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities, including annual or periodic reviews
  • Oversees accreditation process and produces quarterly reports on quality improvements in all required areas
  • Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, paid time off, and leave of absence
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
  • Oversees and monitors Compliance Program
  • Develops and periodically reviews and updates the Code of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures
  • Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, keeps the Corporate Compliance Committee and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
  • Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required
  • Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting: (a) use of the compliance hotline; (b) heightened awareness of the Code of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures
  • Ensures HIPAA compliance and addresses potential breaches of HIPAA-protected information

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
